Great Britain's womens football team will finalise preparations for the London Games in a warm-up match against Sweden on Friday.
The Britons face Sweden at Middlesbrough's Riverside Stadium before opening their Olympic campaign against New Zealand in Cardiff on Wednesday.
Cameroon and Brazil are Britain's other Group C opponents and players Casey Stoney and Steph Houghton are already soaking up the Olympic atmosphere.
"Going to the Olympic village the other day was something special and something that we will never forget," Stoney said.
"It is getting more and more exciting as it gets closer to the first game. All the girls are really excited and can't wait for it to start.
"The majority of the squad is English but the Scottish players, the likes of Kim (Little) and Ifeoma (Dieke) have come in and done a really good job. They are players that will bring an extra bit of class towards the squad and hopefully we can go on a gel as a team and produce.
"New Zealand we have played before in the World Cup for England, we know that they will run all day and give everything they can.
"Cameroon are a bit unknown but I am sure we will be prepared for them, and obviously Brazil have got some special players, the likes Marta and a few others that can do special things with the ball and are very technical.
"Everybody wants to win and that is what you play football for. But nothing is going to be more special than playing for Team GB in the Olympics. We just want to make sure we can do as well as we possibly can."
Houghton added: "It is a tough group and one I definitely think we can get out of.
"We know how to play against certain nations. The staff will prepare us really well and we know our strengths and weaknesses as a team.
"I think America will be favourites obviously they are the reigning Olympic champions in football, and Japan recently have come through so you have to look at those two."
